Thoughts and Tips

Summer is a time for students to relax and recharge. It's also a chance to pursue passions and make progress on college planning. Take advantage of the summer to explore your interests through jobs, internships, online or residential academic programs, athletic showcases, music/arts activities, community service or travel. If you're a rising senior, now is a great time to work on your personal statement and other admissions essays while you have a chance to reflect before the schedule crunch of the school year returns. Rising juniors can be thinking about what you want in a college and maybe doing SAT/ACT test prep. Ideally hold off on college visits until their students are back on campus when you can get the vibe not just the facts. Enjoy your summer!
